DESCRIPTION:As part of Curating Roots: The Art of the Local Food Movement in Lansing\, MICA is delighted to partner with DANCE Lansing Community Dance Project to further explore the themes of harvest\, gathering and agriculture through a dance performance entitled Roots. This performance will use contemporary movement and ballet to address the themes of agriculture\, harvest time\, and community – subjects that ground us to our planet. \nAfter the performance there will be an open discussion with the dancers and choreographers. \nProvided with funding support from Downtown Lansing\, Inc.\, the City of Lansing\, the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs\, and the National Endowment for the Arts. \n
