DESCRIPTION:A Bout Face is a solo exhibit by artist Megan Foldenhauer\, PHD. Foldenhauer is an Ann Arbor based artist\, a medical illustrator and a member of the Ann Arbor Derby Dimes Roller Derby team. The artist uses a carbon dust drawing technique to create hyperrealistic portraits. The artists exceptional understanding of the human anatomy is apparent in these portraits. \nA Bout Face explores the world of Roller Derby and the women who participate in this sport. The portraits are a visual storytelling of the women who reside in this world who ranging from professionals\, students\, Mothers\, housewives\, college professors and more. \nThis video gives more insight to Foldenhauer’s process:  \nThe artist will be in attendance and this event is free.
